We are beyond grateful to know you both. Much Love, K and K
I first heard from Kathryn last year. Even by her emails, I could tell that she was a very sweet person. And Ryan is the same way. They are the kind of people that make you comfortable in your own skin. The kind of people are excited about life. I just love that.
And because these two met in the music department of Chico State, it seemed only fitting that we document some of their engagement session right where it all started. We have definitely used this campus often, but it seems like every couple brings a totally different personality and look to the campus.
Ryan and Kathryn, you are wonderful people. Your thoughtful notes over the last few months, have encouraged us so much. Thank you for laughing with us and sharing part of your life with us. Thank you for being willing to work with us and for making beautiful photos! You bless us!
We can't wait for your wedding, friends!
Much Love,
K and K
Kathryn, you are beautiful!
And among the 101 reason why we get along: We all love Starbucks!
These two are such beautiful people -- and we love how genuinely happy they are, together. Thank you so much, Levi and Tanna, for letting us capture you this weekend. We are so excited to share more :)
Happy Monday and Martin Luther King Day. We hope lots of you are enjoying some extra time off with your family. We definitely will be :)

These two are amazing -- really. I know I am biased, but there is something very special about working with family. You see, Brett is my cousin. He is such a talented guy. During his college years, he created the non profit organization, Dollar for the Poor and has just made such a big difference in this world. Devon will be my cousin and I just love her already. She is so thoughtful and intentional and the perfect fit for Brett. Together, they are impacting the lives of people in Seattle and orphans in Uganda. They are the kind of people who will sacrifice so much for others. I love them!
Kenny and I were traveling home to see his family for Christmas and ended up flying into Seattle. So in about an hour, in the freezing cold, in downtown Seattle with thousands of people around, we worked it out. They are beautiful people and made the Seattle alleyways look good. It was fun, we laughed and you will just love how much fun these two are!
Thank you so much Brett and Devon. Thank you for laughing with us. Thank you for choosing to work with us. We can hardly wait for your wedding -- oh my gosh, you guys, March will be here before we know it. We are so blessed by you. Much Love, K and K
Truly, everywhere we went there were tons of people...But Devon was the best sport ever :)
I met Emily almost two years ago. We definitely bonded over photography, ministry and Starbucks :) She loves people and has a generous spirit. She is a beautiful person. And as for Austin, well we first met him at Costco; he works there. And we go there, a lot. So we see him, a lot. He's an awesome guy, such a hard worker and totally head over heels for Emily:) This fall, we've had the chance to know them better, together. They are amazing people, both serving the Chico State community well. They work tirelessly and we appreciate so much about them. You can imagine we were SO excited about their engagement and the opportunity that they gave us to capture these photos. We are absolutely honored to know them and honored that they would choose to work with us. It's not every day that you get to photograph other photographers; so special for us.
Thank you so much Austin and Emily. We can't wait for your wedding, we can't wait to see the world change, because of you :) Much Love, K and K
And, Emily had been dreaming of engagement photos with pond and a canoe for years. Truly, she may have had this dream before she even knew Austin. So MANY thanks to Donna, at White Ranch Events, for making this happen. So blessed to work with incredibly generous people.
You two are amazing.
There are the kind of people in life who have the gift of making others feel like a million dollars: The kind of people that you spend any amount of time with, and you are instantly encouraged. Ashton and Keaton are these kind of people. I have a feeling they make friends in an instant and people gravitate towards them. I have a feeling they would give you the coat right off their own back, if you needed it. I have a feeling they will do great things in this world, together.
We have only known these two for a little while, but they have already blessed us in so many ways.
So, thank you Ashton and Keaton for surviving the longest car ride of your life those years ago and knowing then, that you could build a life together. You are amazing people. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives. We are super excited and definitely blessed.
Much Love friends! K and K
Ashton, you are so pretty...
Maybe it is our shared love for Starbucks, or the fact that Leon and Kenny could talk about espn all day long; whatever it is, we feel like these two could be long lost friends :) Leon and Maritza are both the nicest of people. They love to laugh and they make us laugh -- and we could listen to their stories for hours. It is people like these two, who make our job SO great. I just have to say that when they chose us to photograph their wedding next month, we could have hugged them! That is how excited and honored we are to tell a bit of their story.
Leon and Maritza, well, you are just fabulous! Loved working with you both!
Thank you SO much, K and K
Maritza, you are beautiful!
Leon, you are such a stud! Thanks for being such a good sport!
She is stunning...
I think Kenny would look good in these vans. And these wedges are just amazing...
Pretty sure they were laughing here as I snapped as quickly as possible, because I was scared for my life that a train would get us all...
And just like that, a train decided to pass us by.
You guys rock!
Seriously, are they the most fun people ever?
You guys are awesome! Thanks so much Leon and Maritza!
Every time we finish photographing an engagement session, two things happen: Our cheeks hurt from smiling and we feel like we have new friends. And this is how we feel about Ben and Lauren.
Perhaps it is that they seem like they are best friends and we can relate to that. Perhaps it is because they are some of the nicest people we know. Or maybe it is just because they are so down to earth and we could talk for hours. Whatever it is, we like these two. And they are definitely perfect for each other!
Thank you so much Ben and Lauren. We are more than honored to be a part of your wedding day. You are the best of people with the best of personalities. We are so blessed to know you both.
Much Love, K and K
You two... Just amazing!
Lauren, you are stunning...
Ben, you are such a good sport. Seriously.
Cheers you two! We can't wait for your wedding!
I know what you all are thinking: There have been a lot of teases on my blog lately. I know, I know. What a fantastic, crazy life.Of course, this also means that I am now officially on lock down -- in my office, jamming to the best of James Morrison and getting this editing done. And this is where I will be all week :)
As for this couple -- I don't even know where to start. Only that they are an amazing couple, destined to do great things in this world. together.
Ben and Lauren, you are so sweet! Thank you so much for laughing with us yesterday. We are blessed.
There will be many more photos to come... K and K
Well, today certainly got ahead of me. Between emails, phone calls, editing, and a newborn session, I only managed to post half of Eric and Jill's engagement session. But that is ok with me. These two are so cute that I don't think anyone will mind seeing them on the blog again tomorrow :) Jill and Eric, you two are so wonderful and brilliant and kind. I can't wait to share more of your story on the blog tomorrow. We are so grateful for you!
Cheers to love!
One of my favs...
Stay tuned for the second half of their session tomorrow :)
